Puentes Unidos

Immigration Storytelling & Advocacy

Puentes Unidos is a nonprofit media project documenting the human stories behind U.S. immigration policy.

We use video journalism to amplify the voices of those impacted by ICE detention, DACA uncertainty, and immigration system failures.

Our Mission

Puentes Unidos is a nonprofit media and advocacy organization committed to telling the real stories behind immigration in America. Our focus is on those directly impacted by ICE — detainees, their families, and those left in legal limbo like DACA recipients.

Through raw, human-centered storytelling and interviews, we aim to replace fear with empathy and policy with personal truth. These are not case studies, these are real people.

We also work cross-border to build connections between institutions, communities, and future healthcare leaders through student and worker visa exchange programs. Our goal is to build permanent bridges between countries, not just walls.

How We Work

We don’t speak for the people we interview, we give them the space to speak for themselves.

  • Every interview is voluntary, respectful, and consent-driven

  • We never sensationalize trauma

  • We share what people want shared and nothing more

  • We are independent, bilingual, and rooted in both U.S. and Mexican communities

All stories are published publicly and without paywalls to raise awareness and support broader policy conversations without partisanship or spin.
